Patrik Gisel graduated from the University of St. Gallen, completing his doctorate in 1992. At the same time, he started his professional career at the Swiss Bank Corporation. After two years of experience as a consultant with the Boston Consulting Group, he joined UBS in 1994 with various responsibilities in the digital field. In 2000, he joined the Raiffeisen Group as CFO, then Head of Markets and finally from 2014 to 2018 as CEO. Patrik Gisel has also served on the Board of Directors of Helvetia Group, SIX Group, the Swiss Bankers Association and Leonteq Financial Products.
Patrik Gisel is the father of two children and divides his free time between sport (triathlon, skiing) and flying as a private IFR pilot.
